For example, the Kenex family of X-ray shielding systems evolved over the last two decades as the number of interventional radiology and interventional cardiology procedures increased. Testing & development
Testing and development procedures are conducted in-house, helping to maintain our exceptionally high standards. From the design team through to final despatch, a number of individuals have input into the form and function of every product. By maintaining open communication with the company, each step in the evolution of a product is detailed and methodical. Our use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) establishes prospective product or component performance. This means that products can be tested extensively under specific environments before the first units are manufactured. Products can then be brought to the market quickly, with minimal waste. Even older, more established equipment designs are subject to this process. So as styles, tastes and requirements alter, our products continue to evolve.
Over a number of years Kenex has built strong relationships with a number of the world's leading OEMs. Consequently, we have been able to offer bespoke solutions to problems faced by such companies. These have typically been associated with tableside and overhead radiation protection, where the standard range of products offered by Kenex fall outside of the requirements of some specific OEM equipment. The exact nature and details associated with many of these projects are confidential. Development, prototypes and final configurations are managed by a dedicated engineering team, which will take a specific brief and establish a relationship with the customer, culminating in a definitive solution.
It is part of the Kenex philosophy that attention to detail be applied from the moment an order is taken, through the manufacture of our product, to the final despatch. The quality assurances we have attained (see base of page) demand the very highest standards. There exists full traceability for every component, enabling us to track the life of each product. In the unlikely event of a component/product failure, we can quickly determine a product's history and those individuals in-house who have been involved with its production. In addition, each product is tested and independently checked to ensure it is fit for its purpose. We encourage input from design, production and sales staff in an effort to continually review and improve the way we manufacture our range and respond to our customers.
Equipment produced by Kenex is noted for its effectiveness and ease of use. These characteristics are the result of a long process, including research & development, ergonomic design, and advanced manufacturing processes. Post-market surveillance is an important part of our quality control procedures as it helps ensure continual product improvement.
